You may learn skills such as:

- Operating principles of diesel engines
- Vehicle electrical and electronic systems
- Fault diagnosis
- Health and safety
- Skills for the automotive workplace
Some of the job responsibilites include but are not limited to:

- service vehicles including:- changing filters, replacing oils, spark plugs, injectors & tightening belts.
- brake repairs including :- adjustments, replacement of pads, brake cylinders, bleeding & machining discs.
- minor mechanical repairs
- using diagnostic equipment to identify faults.
- washing engine components using solvent wash bath.
- steam cleaning of engines to remove oils, grease & road grime.
- cooling system repairs.
- remove & replace engines, gearboxes & transmissions.
- tyre repairs & rotations.
- general cleaning of workshop

Tefol a mine service company is based in Rutherford, with branches in Sydney & Singleton, undertakes various long term maintenance contracts for the Construction & Mining Industries within the Hunter Valley, Central Coast & selected country areas of NSW.  Our continued growth, from our reputation for an efficient & reliable service, together with successful tenders for mine contracts, has resulted in electricians trade positions becoming available.

A strong commitment to safe work practices, excellent team skills & good time management are essential, with previous experience working on heavy equipment an advantage.
